In the summer of 2019, Tom bought a freshly caught crab from a local fishmonger, drew and then released him. Named Hercules, he was a VERY lucky crab, and is depicted on this plate. He must be the only crab plate in the world, depicted on a plate, who is still strutting around on the ocean bed.
Please see Tom's Instagram account for images of Hercules and further details of the story.
